yeah as Bullit said, you'll beat one lol!
think there was a guy on here who ran 110bhp from his Furio get a wild cam like catcams 708, a decent manifold like a Raceland and a Green enclosed and with the mods you already have your probably looking at about 110bhp too

Iv just found this piper cam....
FASTROAD- Powerband : 1500-6500rpm ; Power increase : 10bhp
Inlet duration : 258 deg ; Exhaust duration : 258 deg
Inlet valve lift : .422"/10.71mm ; Exhaust valve lift : .422"/10.71mm
(Valve lifts quoted assume a rocker ratio of 1.75:1. )
Timing (Inlet open - close) / (Exhaust open - close) : 15-63/63-15
Inlet full lift (ATDC) : 114 deg ; Exhaust full lift (BTDC) : 114 deg
Valve clearances : Inlet = .008"/.20mm ; Exhaust = .010"/.25mm
Any1 know what all this means and if its any good? Where can i find a catcam 708? cheers

well from you r westcoast your getting 75bhp and a mk1 vtr had 90bhp(mk2 had 98bhp) i think and so to beat a mk1 you need around 20bhp than you already have, so a enclosed induction, with a green filter, a after market manifold from a place like Kamracing, that with a full exhaust system should add around 10-15 bhp, with a quickshifter you should then be able to see off a standard mk1 vtr.

cams will mean the car needs re-mapping aswell mate so thats going to cost around £400, and its just not worth it on a 1.4 IMO, you could buy a vts engine for that, even though I know as you said thats not want you want to do.

would stick with one, but VTR would do it top end! if you want to leave a VTR then you'll ned to cam it mate tbh!
that cam above ain't too bad imo! but im not too hot on cams tbh, so im sure one of the more experienced members will pull me up if im wrong!

If budget will cover it I'd get a Supersprint 4-2-1 exhaust.. failing that a Raceland will be more than up to the job
whats the best air filter for the 1.4?
