What is the top speed of a modifed saxo? (Not the honda powered one)

some of the turbo and supercharger ones must have hit 160mph as their big bhp engines should in theory push them through the air at high speed.

i recall Craig (GOD106GTI) saying he got his upto 140 on TB and Nos however not sure he has got a top speed on it or anything, could maybe ask him?

Read somwhere that a vtr box is 163MPH on a standard limiter on a vts,so if yuove got a long enuff hill that should do it

There are a few pushing 300bhp, on a vtr box and a 7200 limit 163 is possible!! Mine has been well of clock, but gona be roughly around 140+ on gps!

I've clocked mine at 130 mayb a litl bit more as it went off speedo, wudnt do it again tho as thers pigs everywher an approaching a junction at 100mph aint clever lol

Ive done 133 GPS speed and got scared of the wind trying to put me in a barrier so stopped gunning it...

im sure the gearbox and limiter means only 150 -160mph is possible, even when running silly power.
would need a bigger final drive to get more.

im sure i can recall a boosted car owner saying that they were sitting at the limiter on a straight at a track day last year ;)

I've been in a VTS doing 151mph, that was at a raised limitter on a VTS box. I wouldn't want to go any faster.

mk 2 vts boxs hit the limiter at 150-155 and i've had my mk1 vts to 160 on a tomtom i wouldent advise trying it coz the steering gose light and they start to drift across the road

manifold full system and filter and a 50 shot. i found a big hill to get the topspeed it'll only pull 145 on the flat

impossible to do them speeds on vts box and standard rev limit. mk1 and mk2 vts boxs are also the same ratio's. your speedo must be wayyyyy out.

i dont want to be the one to say it but some people on defo dreaming lol, i reckon a vts modified could possibly do 160 but i dont reckon much more lol

On the motorway i have had my VTR to the speedo limit, which on my clock is 120mph, it got there ok but i did not push it any more as the revs were really high and it started to sound very rough.

With the ratio on gearboxes i am slightly confused, as i can do about 62ish in second gear, so if that can do that, and my 3rd gear pushes 86mph, what can 4th then 5th do??

i know lavo-vts has had his cammed VTS with a VTR box upto 145mph on the clock, but then theres the big debait of, the clocks being inaccurate, i've had 128mph out of my VTR on the old langar airfield runway

we got me mates vtr to 130 will a bit to go a heard people with vts pushing 140-150 pretty easy with a few well chose mods.

if they have a standard VTS gearbox in a modified VTS the gearbox wont let you over the limit on the gear.

I don't see why a Good Moded VTS couldn't do 160+ easily anywayz..

My vtr hasn't had much done to the engine and it does 130+ without much problem.. gotta custome full exhaust system.. Enclosed induction kit and a Vts gearbox on it..

I see that some poeple seem to be talking a bit of rubbish about their top speeds and i don't see the point of it.. why lie :S..

my mates VTR stupidly modded he did about everything to it he could but not turbo or supercharged but everything else....

apparantly it did i think it was 82 in 2nd..... dont hit me with comments because i dont know how true it is, but it wasnt only him telling me this, it was my other mates as well who said they have seen it. Dont know the top speed tho sorry, apparantly he gave an evo a challenge once, think it beat him just tho...
