That pipe is you breather pipe,get rid of the lot & put the std intake system back on or get a green enclosed!:y:

r right what is a green enclosed? and when u say take it all out do u mean just the pipe or do u mean the air filter and put the standard one bk in? :)

take a look at that or if you have the standard system handy then put that back on, as the filter you have will suffer from what is know as "heat soak".

rrrrr sick £160. na i dont have the original one. might have to go to the scrap yard and get one out of a old car u think?

i think the pipe in question is for the idle control valve. it should be connected to the airfilter, so it looks like the one you have could be the wrong filter. you can take the pipe off and replace with a breather filter.

this is a green enclosed on my vtr. you can see where i replaced the pipe with a breather filter, i have suffered no problems with the filter in place.
