went to get my car rolling roaded yesterday
with vts_swedge and my mate in his crx
results are
vts_swedge- standard with racland induction kit got 131bhp(very good)
mate crx- 4-2-1 decat cat back and filter standard 127bhp he made 138bhp
me in my vts - 4-1 decat-catback made 114bhp and a whole loads of smoke. so we had to stop early.

the knob head that serviced my car last week put about 1 litre of extra oil in so it was pissing out everywhere wasnt happy.

swedge has got his graph to prove result and i have mine
will load up pictures and videos later.

rolling roads seem to always be a sore spot on this site, but I think the best way to tackle the arguement is to get at least two different ones and take an average OR get different cars there so you all get a similar read out, then you can see. Although 11bhp from a filter (although a good choose of filter) sounds suspect

rememeber not all engines are identicle.
some vts's may come out of the factory a few bhp down on whats quoted some may come out a few up.

the 120Bhp isnt a guarentee

Oli I would get in touch with the guys that serviced your car! Thats sh*t
what they did!
Plus the fact that the Rolling Road for yourself was wasted.

there could be the chances of one..
although there are usually only a few bhp here or there differences between engines..

no1 can honestly be stupid enough to think all engines produce exactly the same power as standard.

I agree with rushy on this mate, seriously thin kyou should go see them and get some money as compensation. I did manage to over fill my old car:oops:
once, but I learnt my lesson. BUT a garage!! doing it is totally unacceptable

From the many rolling road results I have seen i'm pretty sure there are VTS/GTi engines that have made around 130 standard. (awaits flames)

I have seen a fair few standard engines ranging from 1998 to 2000 getting around that figure. I think my results were maybe 2-3bhp too high but its a good indication that the engine is healthy.

I'll try and dig out an example of some figues when I have time later.
