The time has come to get my head sorted!

I'm gonna get some newman ph3 cams in the near future so wanna get the head port n polished before i fit the cams.

Which of these companies do you guys recomend?

I'm more bothered about quality than price.

Cheers ppl.

qep anyday.

from what ive seen, getting stevie wonder to attack your head with a dremel will be as effective as headwork by hiflow.

Not this again.

Having a Hiflowheads worked cylinder head, I kindda need to stand up for my own descisions! I haven't mentioned this before, but I shall now...

I've got a friend in the racing / preperation business and I asked him to do some work on my 106 for me. This guy is an ex Formula 1 engineer who's last job in F1 was working for Renault for a few years. He contacted Hiflowheads for my cylinder head, as they work on recommendations... Before he installed the head, he showed me the work that had been carried out and of to the level of standard. He was very happy with it... This is my only dealings with hiflowheads, but I can't fault them, not when an expert goes over the work and thinks it's very good.

Sorry to go on chaps, but that was about the only way I can explain things, as I'm no expert!!!

You can check out his web site: www.neilgarner.co.uk Their based very near Cheltenham, and also do some types of work for road cars too.

ive seen some other pics from hiflow in the past though.
still i guess you pay your money you take your chances.

what i do know is the price of hiflow heads are usually alot more than the price of the work done by qep.

That's fair enough. I can't really say anymore on the subject, I've never seen other jobs by Hiflowheads or any other company that do cylinder heads.

just think that for QEP you get alot better value for money.

i know if funds allow when at uni they will be my choice for parts of my uber engine.

OK, what do you want all the power for? And if you are going N/A, you'd be spending a lot of money squeezing the last 20 bhp out of a 1.6 with already 180 bhp!!! :panic:

not really. alot extra. as id want solid lifters, biv valve head and a forged bottom end to run 180.. id just need madder cams like 811s instead for 809s for example.

i want that power because its more fun on track :P
