Can anyone give me some advice on doing the timing on my 2002 VTR.
If there anything specific I need to do? get or watch out for.

change the timing belt, check the tensioner, if it looks warn etc change it and the bolt that holds it, also check water pump depending on mileage, change if necessary, obviously make sure you lock the flywheel and cam correctly then assuminig all of the above is ok you should be fine, if in doubt on any then take it to a garage (expensive mistake if you get it wrong)

Cool. I have a basic knowledge, managed to do the timing on my old cars (Ford, Rover's etc) but wanting to check things out before I started.

You have concerned me now by bringing up the water pimp ?? please advise?
