1. my vts is a year 2000 (snake eye) but they changed the manifold in 2001 or was it when they had the face lift?

2. if the cats in the manifold how would i get around keeping a cat but changing the manifold?

3. and now to air filter got this link to kam-racing which would be more appropriate for power gains? http://www.kam-racing.com/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/24/products_id/273
OR http://www.kam-racing.com/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/24/products_id/263

1. you already have the answer to that!
2. the only way to keep your cat is to put a mk1 exhuast system on it, which re-loctes the cat underneath the car.
3. I'd have the first one mate, best value for money imo
4. yeah Raceland are very good value for money imo, i have one myself, very well manufactured, good welds and free's up the revs a load!

hope this helps

Right question 1) Mines a 1999 VTS on a V which is the year they Phase2 was launched and as far as I know as long as you check the dates when ordering and make sure its a VTS manifold your ordering your be ok

Question 2) All VTS's have the cat under the car only the late VTR's ie Phase2's had the cat in the manifold so see the answer to question 1

Question 3) The best value for money airfilter on the market which also offers good gains is the RaceLand enclosed Scoop filter with the upgrade to the Green filter inside

Question 4) RaceLand are imported items from europe and are fine, linked with the items you hqave mentioned you should see a nice little gain
