Right this is for some1 with abit of a time for a read lol... I really want some more grunt out of my saxo. I got a 1.4 Furio with a raceland twin exhaust, piper X air filter which is shite lol and thats all at the mo. I've been looking around at different things like manifolds and chips but i don't seem to b able to find anything that will fit. The cat is in the manifold and i dont really wana get rid of it. Is there a way around that? and My ecu is a samsung (i think) and all the chips i've seen are for different ecu's?

Is there anything i can do other than an engine transplant to inc. bhp of my little chugger without spending MAJOR money?

dont ever get a chip unless you want an overfueled engine that will pop.

can you get a company like powerflow or someother one to put a custom cat in for you or get a racland manifold and use a mk1 cat

id rather go to bnq and make a cat, it will last longer than stuff made by POOerflow

what are you on>> do you just read what other people have?

708s are for a 16v engine not a furio.

im just getting fed up of day by day reading people who dont know what they are talking about telling people what they should get etc...

its not of any help, clogs up the thread and confuses people.

Well, the best things you could do really is get a decent cat back exhaust. Like a Piper or Magnex.

Then get a drop in air filter (green) for the standard airbox. Or you can get a VTS Raceland/Simota and try to make it fit. (throttle body is shorter so you use a longer hose). You could maybe even get a port/polish t/b but i have no experiences of these.

Other than them, and if you want to keep your cat and standard manifold, you cant really go much further.

But your car will rev more freely with breather mods but outright power will not be changed.

LMAO!!

Get a fast road cam, 4 branch manifold, lightened flywheel, enclosed induction kit and then a remap.. that will have you wiping the floor with VTR's and make the little 1400 fly..

You can always spend loads more and put a race cam in with TB's etc etc but not really worth it on a road car and costs alot of money..

also get rid of the twin exhaust, you will be loosing alot of backpressure with that.. probs slounds nice, they ususally do but not good for performance..

Lol ok mate, I'll have a good look into all that :) Might contact ABP motorsport about some performance parts. First thing i need is brakes as mine r due for a change. Lookin at EBC vented, drilled and grooved with green stuff pads.

What sorta performance u gettin then James??

Any reason why you wish to keep the CAT out of intrest?
