Help ppl ! engine mods etc on Westie 1.4

Hello everyone , im new to here and could do with all you lot to help me out!

I have a 1999 (MK1) saxo westcoast 1.4. when i bought the car, it car it came with a magnex exhaust, pipercross induction kit and what looks to me as a 4 branch manifold? Now, its pretty nippy, but from what i understand, only 75bhp as standard?.. as you can understand i need more power....
now before you all say it.. 'get a vtr/vts conversion'!, im only 18 and would like to keep the 1.4 engine to be different. Someone i know suggested to me to do the following to my saxo:

Performance racing cam and cambelt,
gas flowed head,
ports polished,
inlet and out valves drilled,
dastek chip,
performance plugs and leads,
diesel battey and maybe bigger alternator?

Also i have a de-cat pipe to go on, i am going to but a new BMC enclosed induction kit, and a new 4-2-1 manifold aswell.

i am also cosidering instead of doing the usual turbo conversion, i am looking into one of the DIY supercharger kits that are selling on ebay for around £350. and B&M quickshift gear linkage aswell.

What do ppl reckon to this combination ? Id like your views! Cheers, Alex!

would be a good spec, dont bother with bigger alternator though it shouldnt need it.

What are these supercharger kits and what charger do they use? i bet its the ones off the new minis, there is a reason why they take them off, cos they are pretty crap superchargers, they are very inefficient and stupidly large and run they run much higher charge temps due to the inefficiency if you can get a supercharger then get a Rotrex one and go DIY from there

Do you mean mean electric supercarger no point there full of shit.
For the price of supercharging a 1.4 properly you might aswell get a vts engine and mod that!

check that page out on ebay SCOTT, thats the kind of one i was looking at . Whats this Rotrex one you said about ? Are they pretty good then ?
What power gains u reckon im lookin at if i get all that done + rotrex supercharger , u think its worth it ?

that electris super charger is an absolute pile of shit mate it physically cannot work.

Scott, what was that you were sayin bout a 1.4 8v that GMC motorsport made, giving 250bhp ?? !! Thats mad, id like to know more, any specs? or webpage ?

its kind of elusive to track it down but it was made for a taiwanese race company so money was probably not a problem, it was running throttle bodies and super charger and was a bit of a monster

wow, wel it may be worth asking them about it ! I take it they prob had one of their rotrex superchargers on it !
So what sort of power u reckon with all of the before mentioned mods and a supercharger ?

hmm you would need a specific cam that might be a bit pricey but with all that with super charger (with intercooler) then something like 140/150 at the wheels? difficult to guess cos no one has gone so far with the 1.4. Give them a bell and see how it goes

yeh too rite ! how much u reckon im lookin at spendin on all that . considering im not into fitting much of it as im not that knowledgable with the engine side of things but i may be able to do some of it !

well standard super charger conversion at gmc including everything you need (cant remember if it includes fitting) is circa 5 grand never mind the head work and things
