Yo guys,
The car is going in for a biggish service on Wednesday but just so I point the mechs in right general direction I hoping you guys might be able to suggest some reasons as to why my car sounds worse than usual.
In cruising and neutral the engine sounds no different throughout the rev range. however under 'load' or acceleration. the engine seems as if its making a much larger (slightly excessive) tone. Havent a clue why like. hairline crack in manifold? airbox not sealed properly???
Any advice no matter how vague would be grand.

le gasket between the mani and the block ya?
will have a look tomorrow just fancied a few suggestions in case i miss owt.
could be a seal between the manifold and the exhaust. i dont know the exact noise, so it could be a simple blow.. to a full on explosion waiting to happen
