i currently have a sportex catback system on my vts. when i next have some free cash i want to replace it with say a piper or scorpion. my question is does anybody know if i would be able to leave the sportex centre section on and just replace the back box, i.e. will it all line up correctly etc?

Tough one that.
It all depends on the rear pipe of the backbox...
It 'should' do but you'd have to look at the fixings on both systems

In theroy . . . They should line up but . . .
Theroy is always Theroy and rarely goes to plan. Best bet is to sourch your Piper box from somewhere like www,speedbox.co.uk cheapest place I could fine my Piper 4-1 manifold, then sourch a straight through centre from eBay to really give the exhaust a nice tone and improve gasflow.
Or just get you Piper and have a Garage or custom exhaust shop worry about the join between the two.
