Rocker cover and mani heatshield.

How do I remove them safely?

The sensor (is it that?) thing thats going into the shield, is rustered and I can't get it off?

lots of WD-40 and pateince mate

dont damage it

rocker cover comes off by undoing the two bolts (may need to remove coilpack too)

just ensure that the gaskets comes away too and when you put it back on make sure the mating surfaces are clean and the correct torque it used

manifold is easy, the sensor, undo the clip (green one) wiggle it the red bit pulls to the right whilt pulling the green bits apart or something like that.

rocker is just basically taking to bolts off and pulling it off, just watch out for 2 metal parts that the screws go through going into the engine where the oil is. Getting it back on is abit of a fiddle

Ok, I havn't all is fine, as I painted the shield on the car, and did the rocker cover off of the car!

Now my question now is I think I got abit of hammerite on the Lambda probe, and when the car runs for 5 mins it starts smoking?? Is this a bad thing, or will it just burn the paint off soon and be done??

Thanks

I didn't have to, I'm like a sex machine when I get a brush (Not a bush) in my hand! But I must have caught it and not known!

Whats the best thing to get it off with?

PS (I think some dripped onto the manifold too... bad thing I'm guessing?)

trying to think what to use, white spirit i use to clean hammerite ff stuff but it would then need to be cleaned off as i wouldnt want to cause a fire risk... ummm

could attack the manifold with some wire wool gently if its not a nice one?
