I have a mk1 vtr. Previous owner bodged a homemade induction kit on it. Ive ripped it off and got rid of the perished, unevenly cut flexihose that ran from throttle body to start of induction pipe. What is the best hose to use to connect baring in mind i dont need a new ind. kit or filter, just the bit that fixes it in place!!!

Either a silicone hose

Or an aluminium one

aluminium looks like the prefered option.......problem is actually joining it to throttle body. Would this pipe sit 'inside' throttle body opening or overlap? Is it just a jubilee job? This forum thing is new to me so dont know how (or what exactly) repping is so, for what its worth, niceone fella! Good work! Also, is the alumin pipe the correct size or should i measure apeture to be safe? :y:

Mine overlaps.. but you need to get rubber adapters, so doesn't matter what the diameter is on the pipe.
Link below from Ebay showing what you need: :y:

You also need clamps to tighten the rubber adapters onto the throttle body nd the pipe itself
