i dont think so mate, how are you going to compress them evenly and if you do get them compressed how are you going to undo the nut?

yh that will do the job, only thing i had was when useing that type of valve spring compresser it was quite hard to get the plate to sit rite on the valve seat when compressing it. those type of valve spring compressors are for push rod engines where there is no OHC.

this type is manily for OHC (over head cam). its got like a plunger on it so u can remove the collets easy

mark whats that mean mate?

what you mean compress the valves all together?

you compress them one at a time, you can only relase then one at a time unless you have ten hands

also what nut? theres not nuts located on the valves/springs/seats/collets

Don’t get the cheap ones. Most don’t even fit and if they do there normally not strong enough. Get the forged steel one with the screw compressing rather than leaver. It will make life much easier and stop you damaging things.

i wouldnt buy that 1! when i took the springs out of my vts head (which is about the same thickness as the vtr) i needed 1 of these and you need to buy 1 big enough for the head, i bought one that looked identical to the one that your looking at buying and it didnt fit round the head. better be safe than sorry and buy a bigger 1 as you can always shorten it to fit.
