Exhaust

I have received my 3" Powerflow exhaust from Jungle_Jim. Do you know of anywhere local to Southampton that would fit the exhaust and make a cut out in the bumper for it to fit? or would i have to take it to 2 separate places? eg exhaust place and bodyshop.

Not sure if this is the right place to put this.

if you ask an exhaust place to fit it, any of them should be able to do that, and if you ask them, most will cut a hole for you too, so you shouldn't have to take it to the bodyshop, but i don't know how it works at the garages down where you are!

A decent fitter should be able to trim your bumper for you.

Double check that they are ok with fitting aftermarket items as someplaces wont touch aftermarket items. Also have a word with the fitter and show him the item before having it fitted and explain that the rear bumper will need to be trimed, you should be able to tell who is more willing to do the job from what they 1) quote you price wise and 2) how interested they are in talking about it.

If they want to much money or they dont seem interested walk away as they probally wont do a good job.

Hard to say really, not everybody likes touching aftermarket items for this very reason - They are not a direct fit and have to have time spent on fitting.

Best advice is to stick the exhaust in the boot and go and have a word with a few garages, you might get lucky and find somebody that is very keen on doing it.

Explain that you have a back box that needs new hangers welded on and will need the pipework into the box looking at.

Domt just ask them to do it straight away, ask if they could have a look at a job on your car and ask their honest opuion this way you will find the right person for the job, or find a custom exhaust fitter.
