Right a W reg VTS engine would this be considered as a mk1 or mk2 engine??? I know the engine itself is in a mk2 shell, but is the engine itself any different from like say the R/S reg VTs engines etc?? cheers

Yeah its a single plug BUT i recently had this fitted to my mk1 VTR, and took it into the garage today so they could fit my return line as i blocked it off temporarily, BUT according to them, the return pipe at engine end is different, and person at the garage saying it isn't a mk1 engine, as when they ordered my return pipe, they ordered it for an S reg VTS, but still even if the engines are both mk1's whether its a S or W reg i don't see why the pipe should be different

but if the engine is still technically a mk1 i don't see why it would be differnent at the fuel rail to an earlier mk1 engine? :S Kind of annoyed now considering they were meant to of hand it done for me today by 5pm, but called up saying they or i'd have to also remove the fuel tank to plumb in the return pipe at the tank end, which is kind of stupid as they should of known this already considering the pug/citreon specialists.

swap the fuel rails?
would have also thought that you dont need to remove the tank to sort the fuel return as it should be there already.

only the blacktop VTr's had the return my was the late 98 model first of the grey/silvertops so didnt have a return. But whole point of taking the tank off aswell is so they can remove the original 3.5fpr from the tank and use the return pipe to plumb it into the fuel filter, but as i said does seem weird how the pipe ends differ although it is a mk1 engine still :(
