Scoop Filter Query

Just wondering on my saxo i have got a scoop filter but the end of it is resting on the battery and close to the radiator, wouldnt that melt the casing anyone else had this problem, and what can i do?

mine sits on the top of the radiator.....no signs of melting in the 6 months its been there

Mine rests on the manifold cover and melted a little bit, now move it though lol :D

should be made in heat resistant material.
