i am running my saxo in without the turbo but i have got a pipe which joins the tubular manifold to the downpipe but i have got a external wastegate fited and i was just wondering if the waste gate will open under the pressure of the exhaust gases. i will have a 7 psi spring in

i can put another spring in and make it 14 psi but i was just wondering if anyone knows what pressure the exhaust gases come out so then i can leave the 7psi one in

its hard to say to be honest beacause if you have for example a nicely flowing head and manifold there would be more pressure in the exaust system so then it might activate the wastegate? i would just put the 14 psi spring in cause its not that hard to do is it?(havent seen where your wastegate is located)

the valve opens against the exhaust flow so no.

its not hard no so will just change lol
adam if the gases are over the pressure of the spring then it would shorly open

you cant over pressure the spring because the flow is against the valve lol.
the spring is for how much boost pressure to open it.
