125-130bhp i would say now if its a good chip and has a decent K+N..
After a full exhaust maybe 135bhp..;)

15bhp..... from a K'n'N, full magnex system and a super "duper" chip!?
yeah ok! :err:
tbh mate that superchip will do pretty much bugger all, the fact you don't have complete breathing mods i.e. manifold, full exhaust system etc and its not cammed will all make a difference! tbh i would rather wait until i could afford cams and then find a place who can remap your standard ecu, you'll get far better gains for your money this way!
as it stands with a K'n'N (open filter??) and magnex back box with a superchip maybe 125ish with an enclosed K'n'N maybe 127ish!

LOL I love Saxp!
Mate you cant just guess BHP, its a T reg so you first off need to know how
well the car has been looked after. It may be down on power as standard. We
can all guess but you need to get it on a set of rollers to be sure, and even that
is only an estimate too.

you may only be running standard bhp fella...as it is quite old the car!!
but if the enige has been looked after i think about 130bhp..

true that,
I'd be happy if my VTS was running 120bhp as it is a 51 plate,
straight through exhaust, BMC airfilter.

S34mer-A full exhaust system says to me a manifold aswell..so i answered the question with a manifold in mind too..It was a very rough guess and 130-135bhp is acheivable easily if the car has a manifold aswell as a catback system along with as i said a DECENT k+N and a chip..How do we know its an open ind kit?! Maybe some sort of enclosed..I also used the word MAYBE..And chips do nothing? LOL..They may not be as good as a live remap but will improve the car..Please re read what i wrote and you will see i was very rough with my ESTIMATES, so drop the attitude..:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
My T reg 1.4 has 111k on it and still keeps up with VTR's easily..Not lost any power..Only really high performance engines drop power easily.

James hit the nail on the head there, i mean befor my headgasket went on my R reg VTS it wasnt as fast as thought, after having the block redone and new 3 layer gasket, i was like OMG alot better performance. As for the mods in question my mate at them and he was beating down standard VTS's so it does make a difference.

as metioned above depends on how well the engine has been looked after cause at the end of the day it will lose some power and u can not just guess bhp. We seem 2 be getting alot of this max power guessing recently? must just be going around :) The best way 2 get a ruff guide is on the rollers but they can not be that accurate all the time depends on the operator. If u want 100% accurate u could always have ur engine on test bed on a dynometer

I'd work on 125bhp if I was you.
What mileage has the car got?

If it's producing 120BHP as standard you may be getting as much as 128BHP if the K & N and Chip are of good quality. To be more accurate get it on rollers to see how much BHP you are actually getting.:y:
I'm thinkin of getting my car on rollers to see how powerful (or not) my 1.1 is lol:P

a superchip does jack shit. advances the ignition timing. you wont notice the difference.
