Just looked at the 3 engine types for a vtr, mine the mk2 model so its down to 2 of them, my reg is X and registered in 2000, but fromt he pics it looks like I have the 98bhp not the 90bhp. Could this mean my car is ment to be Xreg in 2001 not 2000?

look where the oil dipstick is then compare to the pictures. cause the silver tops look the same but you can only tell by where the dipstick is which engine you have.

my engine looks exactly the same as the 98bhp model, the dippy to the left side, the 3plug ecu and the airbox.just confuses me how on my documents is registered to 2000 but has the 2001+ engine in it lol. also im wanting a magnex backbox, would i get the one to fit a 98bhp.

oh ok lol, it just theres two different ones you can order, 1.4furio and 1.6vtr/vts upto year 2000 and vtr/vts 2001 onwards for the 98bhp models

don`t think there would be any diffrence with the back boxes. its if you were getting a full system it would be diffrent cause the cat is located in a diffrent place on the 98bhp models. its on the manifold on them but on the older ones its under the car
