can I use in my VTS?

Obviously the VTS box will be coming out and I don't want to sacrifice 0-60 acceleration.

I'm thinking any of the Pug/Cit MA boxes will fit but which ones will do the same or better job than a VTS one?

Could do with some advice fairly urgently as it looks as though mine will need a rebuild!

Depends what you want your car to do man...

The higher final drive will give you better acceleration, at the cost of top end. So if you are planning to build a car for the track, then you want a gearbox with a higher final drive than your current VTS gearbox has.

The two popular choices are the S1 Rallye box and the 1.4 XSI box. Both are the same as your current VTS box, but they boast a higher final drive, with the S1's been higher than the 1.4 XSI's.

Would u really notice the difference with the s1 rallye box on the vts??

i would say stick with vts box on standard engine. thats why citroen fitted it. if you have high revs then fit a shorter ratiod box.

if you intend on running a higher rev limit then the 1.4 xsi box is ideal as you will keep a respectable economy on motorways.

s1 boxes are for the real hardcore among us :D

Hehe. I've got the S1 installed, and I can say that you go through the gears very quicky! ...So sharpen up your gear changes! :d
