I am having trouble fixing my viper induction kit funnel on the standard air intake scoop! The tubing just keeps splitting when i tighten the jubilee clip, i was just wondering whether people can post pics of theirs just to show me how you have fixed yours to receive air.

Thanks

mines silicone, you need something that is going to flex quite a bit, it may be ok with tie wraps though

well the funnel that came with the viper has loads of slits in it and it wasnt very good. I was thinking silicone or something which wont split when i use a jubilee clip to tighten it to the standard plastic funnel bit

I dono what they will have, but im sure there is something you can use:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/REGALS-MOTORSPORT

I used them for my induction hose for my Simota and for my hose kit, good service and quick delivery:y:

Thanks, so do you think these should fit as they have rubber rings on the ends?

get a silicone one, thats more like ducting stuff might be a bit on the large size imo

either should be fine mate, if its just being used for the cold feed. As for the connection to the throttle body get a slicone hose, the internal diameter you need is 63mm or 2 1/2" :y:

??? lol i have a tape measure

Predator_R32
26th July 2007, 16:06
well you could get the basic size from it

you will have measure from the outside edge on the car, as the ones people sell are measured on the inside

and you can also get reducer ones so if one end is bigger than the other then you can get one to suit :y:

Thanks but the long air feed pipe i had didnt fix to the standard scoop like that because the pipe kept splitting when i tightened the jubilee clip, so i am ideally looking for a pipe with rubber ends.
