personly on a 1.1 i wuld say just get a green replacemnt filter and just make a better air supply to the box.

yer, at the moment theres just a thin pipe with a tiny intake hole. remove that pipe and run a large pipe from behind the grill or something to the airbox

Your not really going to get any performances advantages with it only been a 1.1 car but the best you can free up a little throttle response by getting the replacement panel filter, however if you want the induction roar i would go for a pipercross or k&n open kits, maybe the best thing to do is see what www.kam-racing.co.uk can supply you with he is a member on here so he might be able to give you a little more advice on what should fit your car

if you go for an open filter then you will loose power, kill your fuel. you wont realy see difference from a £200 enclosed systm so just replacing the filter and better supply for £50 will be the best option i think.

Completely agree ,a high flow panel filter is the best option and will see a better power gain over an open induction kit in the form of throttle response:y:

i had a green open one on my old 1.1..
cant say i felt any performance loss, sounded wicked though, cost me 55quid.
thats what i'd recommend

not sure what I would do to a 1.1
Would probably lighten the flywheel to improve throttle responce rather than play with the air filters.. shaving a kilo or two would give a bigger benifit that an improvement of 1-2bhp.
Certainly a manifold and induction kit would help things also but I wouldn't like to say that you'd get X amount of additional power from it
(Just realised I don't think I've come under budget with any suggestions - I'll get my coat:oops: )
