two 10mm spanners mate and you dont have to replace them unless you want to or they are knackerd

those parts should be alright after a little clean with a wire brush. but there is a gasket that goes in between those two parts of pipe. you will probably have to replace that to get an air tight seal.

it has one either end of both springs. Undo them and it will all come apart.

try ebay for the gasket, when i changed my manifold and centre pipe i bought one off a seller on ebay for a good price.

if its a standard system then it should do. i have a pic but im at work so cant post it. but there are definately 10mm. there is a 10mm nut, 10mm bolt, spring, spacer and cap on each side.
as jablitt has said it would be worth while replacing the gasket to obtain an air tight seal, the last thing you want it an annoying blowing exhaust

why are you taking it off?

i get my gaskets from A&M exhausts, the oval gaskets are mint. better than Citroen imo

that joint is really shit though. I've replaced it about 2 or 4 times now and after a month or so it goes back to squeeking and knocking...
