Good luck! take your time, make sure you go carefully with the needles and make sure they all work properly before putting the car back together again! I drove myne down the road just to check the speed dial still worked etc... if you push them in too far then they judder as opposed to moving smoothly!

I have 20 that I can sell you if you dont want to buy through ebay, they are the correct ones as I have them fitted to my saxo, see my piccys in this thread, they are 800mcd not 600mcd so they are very bright! but the dimmer can obviously be used if you didnt want them that bright!

PM me if your interested!

Looks pretty good! How many leds did you put behind the dials and how did you fix them? I drilled 4x 5mm holes in the clear plastic and mounted the led.s in there... im thinking a 6 led sidelight thats blue with 1 cable would have been easier and better though!

EDIT: Just ordered the Black metal ones with the white dials on from metal monkey! Cost £9.80 delivered, didnt want a lairy one in the end just something that shines white! Would have made them myself with the template from steve but havent got time this close to x mas!

I just used one LED blub, same type as the std bulb

If they had done a black one when I got mine last year I would have got that instead, Might change it at a later date.

Rubbish pic I just took, is really a darker blue matches really well with the dials.

sammyd 22nd December 2008 22:21

How come 1 led is so bright? or did you use a blue halogen?

My Mk2 VTS had 1 single halogen bulb not led's!

My Mk2 VTS had 1 single Halogen bulb... so are we saying that either myne was replaced at some point?
I really want one with SMD's that I can unsolder and replace!

Does anyone know exactly which saxo's have the led's/SMD's? cos il go hunting for it!
