Mines does sit at a slight angle, but the brackets on the rear box are adjustable so i'll sort it eventually, too lazy at the moment! U got the OMP one on now then?

omp didnt fit and i think they look good at an angle! :y:

Mini Update 10-03-2007

just a little update here, I thought long and hard about this, but after much deliberating, i decided to put the rear smoked lights back on, since i'd smoked the front lights the rear just looked :homme: So it was back on with the rears and painting of the badges!

Result:

And for stevey i have this video:

http://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...t=MOV06734.flv

If this isn't enough i have one of it driving but its not the best (girlfriend camerawoman)

Now for the list:

Investigation of non operating washer jets, most likely a fecked bottle from where some tart crashed into me.

This was the pump, I believe the cog inside the pump must have been snapped or something because you could still hear it spinning! Not fitted yet, however, i'll get round to it :y:

Sort the extremely annoying noise from the de-cat exhaust pipe rubbing the heat shield or sumit.

Not sorted this yet either but i'll get round to it when i do everything else!

Gotta lube the gear linkage its getting really stiff

In true mechanic style i left this till it got really bad, started squeeking one day, i nearly shit myself at first, until i realised what it was. All sorted :clapping:

Gotta service her

Got the parts, will do this soon, not really dues for another 6k so im ok :)

Check the tracking and wheels balance she's starting to judder at high speeds

i borrowed one Tomo_202's VTR wheels for a while while i was skint, when i replaced the tyre on my wheel and re-fitted it went away :) Good thing my old work had an interchangeable part for balcing centerless wheels :)

New tyre needed for both the O/S/F (currently borrowing my mates wheel!) and for the spare!

Did the O/S/F after last update, fortnight ago i got a puncture on N/S/R so i kept inflating it for a while, then took it to my mate at a local well known tyre supllier and had him plug that and fit to spare, then got a new tyre on N/S/R

and there is Cv grease behind the wheel!!! im sure u can only get driveshafts and not just a joint

Tomo had his car MOT'd (before he sold it for a Jordan :panic:) and his O/S/F CV gaiter was torn, explains the grease behind his wheel on my car then!!!! I did however double check my gaiter just incase! Panic over!

NOW

with my cashflow crisis sorted, and a new, better paid job, in its early stages things are taking effect, i have a price agreed for a set of very nice wheels i have adored for a long long time (not the ones posted before) however i am surrently bidding on a set of GTi seats, therefor i cannot afford :panic: these leather seats are getting to be like goldust so im not sure if i want to bid conservatively or not :fcuk: I have a MAXIMUM price in mind, if i don't win then i'll need to get sharpish onto these wheels!!

STUMBLING BLOCK

Recently.......................................I have been foaming at the mouth............. The cause of this i hear you ask?

Em, See for yourself!

This is getting on my nerves :( I have visions of stripped out rally slag in my head and i'm really not sure if i want to justify this to myself, The same engine but perhaps that little bit more excitement........I'm really in two minds about this??????????????????// What you guys think?????????
I'd also like to say thank you to:

Seanp06 for his help with the washer jet pump

Tomo_202 for hsi wheel for like 6 months lol

And finally "John" For offering his parcel force account for transportation of either the GTi interior or the wheels

Cheers!

Steve 10th March 2007 20:33

Funnily enough it was cleaned and waxed today!

I won't strip it out though!!! No No No No No! Ever since i got it i wanted it to be kind of "luxury" kinda thing (if you know what i mean) sounds weird but i don't think the dash is right for a stripped look, its too chunky/swirly/sexy, it deserves to have "things in it"

The 106 is more Flat/not so styled/boring which i think is right for that stripped out look.

THANKS FOR THE REP :y:

I have had mine stripped out! i much prefer it with the seats etc in, actually feels like a decent car at times, i dont know just when it was stripped out it felt like a piece of crap to be honest :n:

Should organise a meet some time near berwick mate! get few NE people up and few from down scotland! :y:

BruceybabyVTR 10th March 2007 21:04

Sounds like a plan mate!!!! Though i work weekends now with my new job so not sure when im free :( can sort sumit though!

NOTICE

STILL haven't sorted my one mud flap situation, however, my only day off is a weekday so i will sort out most of my stuff on this day cos everyone else will be working!

Immediate plans are as follows:

Remove Mudflap.

Fit brakes

Fit Washer jet pump

Get a -40mm lowering kit Waiting on mate to get time for torsion bar.

Sort exhaust rattle.

Future plans:

The wheels or GTi interior

De-lock doors! I'm really just waiting for the guy who did my bodywork before, to get some free time to do this, he still has a tonne of my paint leftover so shouldnt cost me too much!!!! (i hope lol)

This is all subject to conditions! (i might be getting a rallye lol)

Steve 10th March 2007 21:10

i Just had mine lowered see my thread! my exhaust wedged up against my heat shield now :n: will have a play around with it if not will take it back to where it was done as the lad is sound but they had a carry on getting the manifold on so think he was fed up of it!
