Well sold my old furio last week and picked up the new vts the same day from a gid lad called Hendo off here. It has all the usual cosmetic marks of a 10 year old car but things will change.

Mods included were;
-lowered, im guessing around 40/50mm all round
-s wheels sprayed white
-very rare vtr leather interior in green
-genuine 106 gti a,b and c pillars
-sub/amp wiring left infor me with a floor in the boot
-french pressed metal plates
-t-cutted rear badges
-de-wipered on the back
-bmc induction kit
-supersprint decat and exit
-a very nice air freshener :)

the only problems on it are a sticking starter motor and it needs a new drivers side door

when i picked it up it had no head-unit so half way back from kircauldy i stopped in at edinburgh i bought and fitted the new one :n:. i also bought a shortened aerial as i find the standard ones are like walking sticks being so long!

the route im gonna take with it is euro/cleaned i think....

the rough plans
lower more on coilovers
gloss black or colour code and smooth in vt kit and splitter
smoothed boot and debadged
number plate recess in rear bumper like on 106 gti's
tint fogs yellow or smooth over
debadged front grill
retrim or use fabric spray to make headliner black
a boot buld which may involve my old sega mega-drive possibly?
remove rear spoiler
the wheels im stuck between starmags, borbet a's, schmidt th lines, banding my spare steels i have, lenso bsx or some bbs split rims
so il be selling the vts wheels, so if you have in dished wheels pm me ;)

so il try updating this very soon

It looks clean for a mk1 and def for the price you paid.

yeah its been well looked after. a few bits of trim need new clips but no biggie :y:

Looks nice mate, plans sound good. I think the wheels would look better in silver than black though.

Also, VTRs never came with leather, ever. So yours must be a custom retrim :y:

your choice of wheels seam a bit vague for example schmidt th lines would cost in the region of a grand second hand in good condition and lenso bsx's are cheap copies of bbs wheels which cost a couple hundred second hand, ive just bought some borbets which im not getting much change from £600 second hand, i think you need to have a think how much you can afford first, but the plans sound good as long as you see them through its not cheap going euro believe me! lol

I think whatever wheels I get will be silver, or possibly a light gold. I know about wheel prices my options are over a large spectrum but those are the ones I like, so I'd like to keep all options open :y:

I know it won't be cheap but what is these days.

tbh i quite like lenso bsx's but a lot of people will slate them firstly because them are replicas, secondly they look like split rims but aren't, also i think they discolor pretty quick and there isn't much a dish on them at all, you should have a look at this website always get some bargains on there

Cheers mate. For the price of lenso's they are good. I'd prefer a more 'up-market' wheels but I can get them as a back up.

heres some rough chops i got done for giving me the idea of a few of the wheels

Last night i was a little bored and did a quick photoshop again, ive got a think for pink/purple wheels atm.


im not very good at photoshop but im following the guides slowly :)

anyway today i needed something productive to do so i spray parts of my dash green

should i spray the clock surrounds and speaker vents aswell or is that too much?

i want either mk2 dials or just white dial backgrounds...

im not a fan of the green seats and dash plastics, id rather have just silver ones if you had to paint them, heres a pic of my car with Borbets just so you can decide weather you like them or not

lol whoooo 1000 posts! I loved it when i got to a thousand posts i was expecting something unexpected to happen like glitter to fall from the roof or something haha lol i was trying to get to 3000 by the time i go sleep haha the last day ive had an extra 150 posts lol ive been very boreddd haha

i sprayed one of them as a test run, then did another two properly, but i havent got round to doing the last one so ive got three red and one blue lol but tomorrow i think i'll do the forth one and also im gonna re-do the first one i did as i didnt use primer so its darker than the rest lol also gonna have a good look at my car tomorrow its making some weird noises so i think im gonna get up earlyish get the car up on stands and crack on with finding the problem and do the other two alloys so should be a productive day lol

youll have to let me know when theyre finished, i like the red lip on them....

well i sold my vts wheels in a bid to boost saving for some new wheels....

liked the banaded steels the most from the selection above, guesing you saw the ones in the for sale section. think they would look great in the right colour
