looks nice mate, how does the K&N sound? i'm looking at getting one soon, but want an open filter for the sound
the sound is awsome tbh i cant fault it, im not a fan of open cone but do like the sound haha, at about 5-6k revs it sounds slightly like a turbo lol it has so much suck, does put a smile on your face when you drive it fast. im after a BMC or pro comp for the carbon look and pure cold air feed thats why ill be getting rid of this one. but this k&n is very exspensive its one of the models fetching £180+ new
there expensive but worth it :) K&N won't sell a 57i that doesn't provide some bhp gain, i no its only 2-3 but still a gain :D
yeah i have been told that elsewhere :)
I have just spent the day spraying the inside headlight shroud gloss black, will get some pics up later :D
Ok, thought it was about time to keep going with this so made a few purchases, and eventully got them through the post, also did a couple of things myself :D, anyways got a set of heko wind deflectors of ebay and really love them, they look really slick and drving at 0-80 there is barely any horrible wind flap coming through the windows :D

I then set about smoking my headlights on one of my days off (roped my dad into helping me seeing as he is a mechanic lol) following the guide on the styling section i shoved them in the over for about 6 mins and pulled them apart
![]() Then spent about 10 mins sanding them down and began coating them with primer ![]() then some gloss black paint and a couple of coats of lacker ![]() and finally put them back on the car, and i must say i really do love them, i think it really is an awsome easy mod to do. ![]() |
Today seeing as it was a nice day i decided to give my car a "quick" 5 hour detail, before i picked my friends up to go cliff jumping at spitchwick lol so snowfoamed it, rinsed, then foamed again, then rinsed, then washed with dodo juice born to be mild using 2bm, after that clayed the whole car using dodo juice slippery clay lue and cyc green clay bars, then snowfoamed again (had some left in the bottle, and finally rinsed again with the pressure washer. and to finish it off a coat of dodo juice red mist ( love that stuff :D )
piccys snowfoaming :D ![]() cleaned ![]() |
Plus also have fitted me new smoked jewels and t-cuted the rear badged once it was clean
![]() |
i am now up to date and will try and post when i do new mods, :D
**New update today**
decided to pop down to citreon and by a bonnet clip to hold the rod up that holds the bonnet when its open, heres the new one, was only £1.00 from citreon so couldnt argue with that :D ![]() It was originaly being held up by a rubber band whitch looked really tacky ![]() and there we go, little fix for the day just before i go and start my night shift at 7 :D ![]() :) |
Looks a lot meaner with the front lights re-done dude!
I prefer the magnex......but im kinda old and hate loud / raspy exhausts.
lol fair enuf. im a big fan of the raspy rally sound exhaust :D
love the sound of the kam racing/supersprint exhaust, cars looking tidy :y:
im debating wether to buy a 4 branch manifold of swap my piper cat back system for a kam/supersprint cat back. :/ might just do both! :D |
Thats all that matters dude....its your car, make it how you want it.
Lol rick im in love with the kam racing race exhaust. On my next pay cheque im gonna get the supersprint 4-2-1 wrapped :D
Nice car man, kam system sounds the nuts :y: ps is it just me or does the camera move itself in the video? As if to focus on the zorst lol
oh yeah iphone has it all :D its can move lol. or maybe the zorst is that powerfull it moved it lol. Naaaa it was resting on that coke bottle lol so thats why
Car is booked in for tracking to be done tomoz, also want to get new decent tyres, the guy at the tyre place said the best ones they got are some yokohama as1 (summin like that) they any good?
Quote:
the vibrations move the camera a bit tho i think. sounds awsome, im swapping my piper for the supersprint, should sound very similar! cant wait :D then its 4 branch time! |
lol, i only put it down then i think the coke bottle it was resting on slightly moved haha, or maybe it was the exhaust lolz :D
Yeah 4 branch next for me, im gonna go with the supersprint one, then cam it after that :D |
hehe you like some of the same stuff as me by the looks :) still not seen your car dude, still im sure you will be about one friday!
I like my wind deflectors too but no-one else does and they do obstruct your vision at roundabouts unless you chop them a bit. How are you finding the group N's? ive got the B8's but wasnt sure if the N's would be too stiff for everyday road use on a daily driver. Only thing I can see that might cause a problem is you have no cat but you still have the post cat sensor plugged in? that should cause fault codes over time I believe, normally best off putting it in the engine bay and a bung in the hole. Looking forward to having a proper look, catch you soon dude |
