How to: Wiring up a 6 point FIA kill switch
Ignition wiring is incorrect, the saxmax was incorrectly wired. Am rectifying it now and will update accordingly
could a mod sticky this in the guides?
a quick question, not sure if I'm missing the point, but what's the difference between a simple 2 way kill switch to the above 6 way !?
The 6 point has 2 more switches on the bottom of it. One is the ignition, the other is a positive feed back to a resistor. This prevents the run on, in the event of the switch being turned off on the move, from blowing the diode pack. It gives the alternator current somewhere to go when it is cut and it is still charging.
When the switch is on the ignition circuit is on and the resistor circuit is off. When the switch is off the ignition is cut and the resistor circuit is opened.

that's right. But remember if your in gear then the alternator will be spinning till you stop, along with the engine

bumo. could a mod sticky this please?
Any mods out there? c'mon it is a valid how to guide after all ;)
I have pm'd mods and admin's? Is it not worthy?
Another bump for the mods. It's the only guide on the net
Christ, wait a while. Mods aren't on here every minute so there's no need to bump 2 or 3 hours after another bump.
I only bumped it when mods were on
This is about the only worthwhile "how to" thread on saxp.
Ah cheers
