Sorry OZ for this but i need to same help but i have a Pipercross, how u clean them? first time
i no its not the same as yours but i have a K&N and one of my mates suggested pouring petrol through it, they said it cleans it right out

use a compressor (blow air through it), and then pour petrol through, it should clean it (even the compressor is enough)
or buy air filter cleaning kits specific to manufacturer
with piperx you get a spray that cleans it when you buy the filter. i just use that.

Always try and use what the manufacturer recommends, I'd rather have a dirty filter than a f**ked engine!
I've got a K&N 57i I cleaned it a few months ago with the re-charger kit. You rinse the filter under water, apply the cleaner, let it stand, rinse, allow to dry, apply the special oil, allow to dry, re-fit. Easy peasy. ![]() |
