battery drained?

hi
i used the fix guide to get my demister and blowers working, by connecting the two brown wires under the steering column.
2hrs later ive gone to start my car and theres no battery, could the change be draining the battery or something else.
if it is the wires i could conect both to a switch so i can flick it on when i need my fans and off when the car is not running?

Thanks

if u dont switch it of ull run ur battery out and an alternater is only 30 pounds max for a scrappys if u need a new 1

one of those wires is a permenant live, you need to find an ignition live so when you turn your ignition off it cuts all power to the fans etc,

i dont know much about cars i just followed the instructions, how will i find the a ignition live and how do i connect them all together?

it was two brown wires (on left) and two red (on the right) through a light brown plug thing

thanks

get the car started and do a simple check, check the charge rate at the battery!!!!

if it is charging then you know it is not a fault with the charge system.

buy or borrow a tester or multi meter mate, then with the ignision on test the wires when you have a live turn ignition off and see if it go's out if not keep repeting till you find one that go's out and then feed your fans of that one(dont touch the airbag wires in the orange sleves)
