Cant remember if its Hydraulic Tappets but checking the Tappets would be the next stage could be a burnt valve.

Even the Headgasket may have blown between cylinders.

Get it to a garage to diagnose.

had the same problem about a month ago mate i changed all that no joy in the end it was the injectors air was getting in garage said replaced the lot now running spot on rich

renagademaster4 13th September 2009 14:53

well seeing as its not spark chances are its fuel

a would remove the fuel rail , unlpug the coil pack and turn teh engine over to check all the injectors are working

if thats all fine a would do a compression test

wilsh81 15th September 2009 20:30

yeah going take it the garage cheers anyway peeps

p.s any 1 want buy a new coil pack £53 :A:

gaz4399 15th September 2009 20:33

did you buy a genuine citroen or pug coilpack?

we have had soo many brand new non-genuine coilpacks faulty at our place

Cammy 15th September 2009 20:33

i had this problem, it was my coilpack, but unfortunetly my new spark plugs worked at such a high temp and blew my coilpack and all 4 of the plugs burnt out, but 2 were working JUST, ran on 2 cylinders, so poss. plugs?

GingeVTS 15th September 2009 20:35

i had the same problem on my 306 its the injectors i bet 1 of them will be blocked

liam_VTR 16th September 2009 02:03

mine did this and it was head gasket ... get compression test done tbh :y:

McGuire86 16th September 2009 02:18

if it was the head gasket wouldnt it overheat ??

liam_VTR 16th September 2009 15:25

mine didnt ... mine ran fine with the gasket gone

McGuire86 16th September 2009 18:37

:S strange, guess lots of things cause this then. mine misfires when it hasnt been used for a day or 2, but the gasket looks fine. i guess mine has something to do with the coilpack/sparkplus/injector

liam_VTR 17th September 2009 01:20

if it not doing it all the time then yes mate thats what it sounds like :y:

benwh555 17th September 2009 01:37

As all of above it could be one of a few things, get it to a garage and get it tested or you could be changing bits and spending alot more than you need to. To be honest i wouldn't surprised if it was the injectors, but thats just a gut feeling lol.

mines booked in for the garage next week (Y)
