iirc the PH3 cam are slightly longer duration than the 708s & the PH1 cam are slightly shorter duration than the 708s. (its been a while since iv seen the 708s spec sheet)

PH3 cam seems to be the poular choice for 16 valvers though. By the looks of things with a decent remap you could see more of a gain with these over 708s?

Japman 26th February 2007 13:49

What sort of BHP increase are we looking at

Mystic 26th February 2007 13:56

You cant really quote bhp figures for things like this since there are so many variables to take into account but with a full exhaust system, manifold & enclosed filter its not unreasonable to be aiming circa 150bhp.

EDIT: you will need a remap of course, otherwise the cams will only give a couple bhp & have other side effects like runing lean & an irratic / lumpy idle

Japman 26th February 2007 13:59

ok thanks for the info

mrorange2 26th February 2007 14:55

Yes the price is for delivery to your door. they run on standard internals.

As said above actually the PH3 has a little bit more lift than the 708 so should see same if not a little better results than the 708 the PH1 has a little less lift but is better on idle so you'll see a few BHP down on the 708 to be honest you aint gunna get cams at a better price and they are coming from a good company.

The more the merrier come on people this is a bargin.

bullit 26th February 2007 19:36

one person says duration, ones says lift, lol. if the duration is higher than 708 it sounds good, lesser lift less headwork

mrorange2 26th February 2007 20:50

Duration on 708 258 / 258
Duration on PH3 264 / 264

D34no 26th February 2007 22:42

is there a group buy on single cams for the vtr?

mrorange2 27th February 2007 07:57

there was but this has already gone ahead mate.

mrorange2 27th February 2007 10:48

this is peoples last chance to get involved in this now cheques will be send this week by the looks of it so last chance to get in.

shaggers_saxvtr 27th February 2007 11:04

That is cheap IMO.

What else would be needed, adjustable pulleys and a remap..?

Mystic 27th February 2007 11:06

for the VTS you would just need the remap, they already have adjustable pulleys :y:

C'mon people, apart from williamsvts' thread this is the deal of the year
:A:

mrorange2 27th February 2007 11:25

As above this is a great deal cheques will be getting send this week so today is really your last chance to get in on it.
