this is copied from a old post i did a while back

both have good/bad points to them
Griffith Good: helps reduce gear throw by nearly half, easy fit, and is out the way no need to cut things off etc
Bad: The only bad point that ive come across really is the fact that sometimes the wiring loom does get in the way (especially on vts's) so you/ like i did was have to get some cable and lift the loom out the way, no good looks
B&M/kamracing/comp brake Good: looks the tits especially in a stripped car, does reduce throw (not as much as the griffiths)
Bad: its not a straight forward fit, you do lose the center plastic housing and gater. This item use's is the original gear stick so you need to take all the housing off cut the little plastic ball thing off and then bolt in the new 1 on over the stick making the 2little cup things tight so it fit nicely, i fitted this before the griffith and i was quite disapointed by the reduction of the throw so i ended up getting 4 10mm nuts and put them on before the quick shift the result was much better.
Oh if you do decide to get the B&M 1 remember that you will have to go and source a new gear stick if you do make it look standard/put the housing in or sell up

hope this helps mate
