remap
4-2-1 manifold with decat and no centre silencer

Really it all depends on the cam's m8, the rest of the breather mod's arent going to really take effect until the cams are in and its been mapped!

didn't think they did a 708 profile for the vtr and by the way cam is the correct term when it comes to vtr as it only has 1 m8 ;) by the way i have heard that the 285 profile is good for a vtr try qep as they deal with cat cams which i hear many good things about

Depends how well its done. But as its a late engines the original valve springs, rockers and ECU are very limiting so don’t expect miracles. You could always go for a full cam kit with springs, caps, rockers, pully and cam. That will open you up to much greater gains than just the cam. £400 plus for a good map as well.

yeh i wasnt expecting it to be masssive maybe around the 125bhp mark with all the work done?

would be more power per pounds if you stuck a vts engine in mate

going to be looking at around 2k to drop in a VTS PROPERLY!
when all this will cost around 1k and should give same if not better performance.

what dose your car idle at warmed up?
Quick

Vtr with 120bhp won't be as quick as a stock Vts.
The vtr box is much longer!

well dials say 1k but on diagnostic machine is was showing just under
tends to touch about 1800rpm for a few secs and then slowly drops but it idles about 1300rpm till it warms up but after a few mins its perfectly fine

it should do so far as i know they idle at about 850k
you can also fit a 285 cam with a remap and it will run as smooth as it did with standard cam in im told by a good source
think in new year im going for the 285 and remap so im hopeful of hitting around the 140bhp mark :)

I'm hoping to get around 130BHP with the same mods including headwork and a remap when I get my VTR engine in.

Its a fact a 125 hp vtr will not stick with a vts, the vts gear box is alot shorter meaning it accelrates alot quicker, chuck a s1 box in and you will be grinning ear to ear, personally id prefer a quick 8v to a slow 16v anyday...

a 285 degree cam also will need more work to run it

a 285 degree cam also will need more work to run it
uprated springs and an adjustable pulley so it can be fully adjusted when remapped
