no offence but not much point spending money on a 1.1 engine. just do a engine conversion

im guessing on a 1.1, straight through exhaust, decat, 4-2-1 manifold and induction may see 10bhp?

all that depending on second hand or brand new could cost around 500-600

either one..........buy my dad says if you had a full job you would get rid of your saxo straight away and get a newer one.............

You can turbo any engine, but from peoples experience on here the 1.1 engines loved it.

Drop Sophia_Bush a PM, now dont get excited shes a he....unless thats your thing of course :)

also, if you had used the search function you would find that this question is asked a couple of times each week and the same answers appear

im thinking of just messing around try get bit here n there untill march-april then droping a 1.4 or 1.6 eng in it dont really want to declare it to insurance tho

Then you may as well just not bother having any insurance as it's illegal...

I'm currently uprating my 1.1 engine :A: it's a lengthy task, it's not really that much fun (a lot of cut knuckles, a lot of dead ends and a lot of swearing) but modding never is simple or quick if you want decent results. Current power is 74bhp, and it doesn't really seem worth it sometimes... but if you want to get into this sort of thing later on in life too, then a 1.1 provides a good learning curve. Just don't expect a fast car at the end of it.

True, but unless you spend at least £800-£1000 you're not going to get more than 100bhp from it!

i have thought long and hard about my 1.1 and what i sell it for there would be little point so there is only one route for my little saxo and that a VTS conversion
