lookin to get myself a cheap vtr, stick it on my drive and correct whatever problems it has and enjoy the experience of making it my own.
one im looking at has a problem with engine management. i dont mind getting stuck in cus it will be a decent experience. it has the following results from a diagnostic test;
Diagnostics Test:
156 - O2 sensor circuit front
104 - Ignition Cylinder 1 & 4 circuit
106 - Ignition Cylinder 2 & 3 circuit
can anyone elaborate on that for this n00b? :A:

coilpack full stop by the sound of it, emissions will be out if its not firing right
failing that you have bigger issues :p

Thanks for ur help!
well i recon i could wing it off the chap for about 200 notes cus it has no tax and mot. if its shagged after i try the coil pack and a few other bits then could just break it :geek:

good thing is, lambda sensors are cheap enough to pick up but first worth finding out which one, 2nd lambda could lead to the cat being faulty - which is not so cheap (althouh i have paid as little as £26 for a new one)
coilpacks are also another easy and cheap source. whilst your at it, for the sake of £1.50 each, id change the plugs too.
EDIT : just seen you have 02 sensor front, so pre cat.
this will be reading the readings direct from the engine - i would advise a change of plugs and coil pack and plug in again.

tell him scrap value £140 and see where it lands you
you cant fail at £200 as it "should" break for more if its not a pig, but thats your time and storage expense...tell him that
he obvioulsy hasnt got time or knowledge or it wouldnt be fucked with no t&t

as above, offer him scrap value.
no T&T thats all its worth.
