His excess is probably more than the cars worth so its not like he is ever going to claim.

TPFT isn't always cheaper, but if it is in this case, then £660 is still a shit price, and 3rd party extension, if sky do it, which I assume you don't get TPFT.

Sickening quotes, no wonder that you wish your life away when younger just so you can insure something for a reasonable price.
I'm assuming you put your parents on as named drivers on your policy? If not it really may be worth trying... it brought mine down considerably when I first had my own policy.

I doubt you'd drive it like a saxo and enjoy the 6 mpg. Besides that's not the point with a 2 ton cruiser, you don't need to boyrace everywhere. It's much better to look down on chavs and their saxofiestacorsas while they rag it in their narrow power band vehicles.
Time to scour the bay... You know you're getting old when the one mod you want to do most is change the seats to make it more comfortable like.
EDIT: Holy fuck they're expensive.
More comfy ey, should have bought an audi / merc / jag. In that aspect, don't change the wheels or lose more comfort.
Yes, holy fuck it's expensive, welcome to zee german klub.

Most people put parents as named drivers as it tends to reduce the quote. Try it with and without to see if it makes a difference.

I did for the first 3 years and it saved me around £200-£300
This year it worked out more to add my dad as he has a 3 year restricted driving licence.

Meh you cant compare a evo to a gtr man haha
It wasn't a comparison they specialise in Evo insurance and as a lot move from evo's to GTR's as well as a few GTR's participating in the Pace Ward Sprint series they seem to be starting to specialise in GTR's for the generic levels of performance packages added to them (as they already do with the evo's)
Definitely wasn't comparing the two, i'd chuck my evo, left bollock and savings in for a GTR right this second.
Typically anything modified with a decent level of performance where other insurers are put off it is definitely worth giving them a shout.
They wouldn't insure me last year though as my Clio 197 that I had 2 years experience in wasn't deemed a suitable level of performance car for the underwriters to insure me on an evo so I had to do a year with another insurer before they would consider me.

So in 4 months you aged 3 years, lost 0.1 L in engine size, lost 4 years NCB and had a sex change?

So in 4 months you aged 3 years, lost 0.1 L in engine size, lost 4 years NCB and had a sex change?
Had an accident and lost some NCB, and changed cars would account for some of that. A sex change and rapid aging I can't think of why though :D

Haha cracking. Cheapest was 309 with admiral but went for axa at 334, was with them last year and I am pretty impressed as you can do everything online, pay, change vehicle, add on day insurance or week, month etc, add driver, everything. Don't have no admin fees, and even better you don't have to speak to people who are trying to sell you any rocking horse crap to get their commission :)
No, I don't work for axa pmsl

Hi, 50 yr old male with just a completely standard 1.4 VTS (Furio), having zero no claims bonus and 6 points on licence, living in decent area, parking overnight in residential CP and daytime factory CP at work.
I went with 1st Central using 6000 miles a year travel, valuing my car at 500 quid. They valued it at 600.
Did Fully comp and paid 500 quid over 12 monthlies. Outright price was 432.
I get breakdown, legal fees and not much else. Windows covered, but 70 quid excess. Not too bad as 1.1 Saxos were only about 40 quid less for me.
TPFT was about 10 quid cheaper with naff all benefits...a complete con these days! Third Party on its own was no better!
Hope this helps someone.

Roughy £185 for me, that's 45 yr old female, 9 years no claims, IAM, and only using it 1500 miles a year as, being a chauffeur, have a company car which I can use for personal use.
Thought that was a tad steep, considering it's only a boggy standard 1.1 Forte! But then, my job probably isn't helping. Oh, and it was pretty much zero excess too.
Was cheaper when I had my Smart car!
