Can i have bucket seats and still use my rear seats?

Not everyone who wants bucket seats has a stripped out rally slag, find out how to keep your rear seats...

Having bucket seats does not mean that you cannot have access to the rear seats and take passengers.

Solutions...

Now depending on the bucket seats you have or want to buy things work a little differently.

Fixed Back seats: The easiest solution here is to use the original seat belts. The problem is that even with tilting frames the top of the

seat will hit the roof before any useful angle is made. Sliding the seats right forward allows access to the rear seats, though your passenger has to have a degree of flexibility.

If you want harnesses then you will have to buy dual release harnesses. These are made by a few companies (sabelt and OMP for sure) and they come with a release that is just behind the seat. This can be unclipped and then the original belts are used in the front of the car and the rear belts as normal for rear passengers.

Reclining:With reclining seats its a far easier affair to get people in the back. Again the easiest option is to have the seat with standard belts. If you want harnesses then again you will have to have the dual release harnesses as well.

Hopefully this has been of some use to you
