what form would i need to use when its sold? and how long would it take to transfer

it depends how you want to sell it.
you can put it on a retention certificate for £100 odd quid and reassign your standard plate and when you sell it you give the buyer the retention certificate and they can pay a name change fee ( £25)

or you can transfer it directly to the buyers vehicle for £80

(im just going by what mates have told me so dont take it as 100 % lol )
