Default clunking sound

it started with a clunking sound if i jabbed my foot on the accelerator but has since become everytime i take my foot off then put it back on when changing gear or letting off to slow down.

have rocked the engine like i have read on here before but that seemed quite solid so any ideas

its going to garage to be looked at on tuesday but any help would be great

had the drivers side replaced because the cover came off and it had worn, thought it would solve the problem but it hasnt.

it only happens when i put my foot on and take it off the accelerator. doesnt happen if the car is out of gear and revved, only when i am drving which makes it hard to find out where the noise is comming from

Did you get this sorted mate, mine is now doing the exact same thing.

Im thinking it may be the lower engine mount but cant be sure.

What did the garage say to yours?

Yeah thats what i thought, car is going in the garage tomorrow to have:
a) clutch change
b) engine checked for the knocking noise
c) and a service.

Not looking forward to the bill.

F*cking car is seriously pissing me off.

i'm getting mine done now, its the joint in the exhaust beghind the cat, with the springs in it. when putting your foot down the engine rocks due to the shite engine mounts and causes the joint to split.

I am now getting quotes on stronger engine mounts to stop the movement along with a new cat and centre section as its buggered and broken apart inside!!

NOT CHEAP and NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!
