Default Plasma Screen Repair Help?

HI, my mates plasma tv broke just after he got it, i dont know why he didnt just take it back as it would still be under warranty but basically he got a new one.... so i have bought his old broken one for a bargain at £20.

He told me it would cost roughly £200-300 to fix the problem.

Does anyone know how much it would cost.... the screen comes on but half the screen you cant see it's just black and the other half is all distorted, and is all blotchy (as if ink inside has gone all over)

Anyone had this prob and do you know how much roughly?

oh its an LG42PC55 42" HDTV

certain "comet's" will repair electrical stuff for you, best bet is to ring up and theyll probably ask you to take it in so they can have a look
