5.25" components
do these bolt straight in to front doors? i'm assuming they do but want to confirm it

Yes they do but for better sound fix them to a MDF ring then fit them to the door , then it shouldn't rattle as much .
Not saying they will rattle if there not fixed to rings.

mine fix direct to doors and dont rattle, you'll need to make a hole in your trim for the tweeters.

also depends on the magnet i gather, is the space between the skins fairly deep on saxo's?

could do , but i'm 99% sure all comp' speakers are ok with the magnet and car body .

i've had no probs with the depth of the magnet and i've had all sorts of speakers fitted in my car.

even if the magnet is ok to fit in the door mount them on an mdf ring as its a lot better

think i will mount the on a thin mdf ring to help stop air leaks etc

Try to sound deaded around and behind and install the components in the door pillars or the triangular bit at the very top of each door (plastic bit that sticks out) and make sure that all wires arnt caught and that everything is in solidly (sounds stupid but iv seen some bad jobs).
Have you got an amp for them?

ya i have a stop gap old school sony amp not the xplod stuff.. its not too bad and will do for now until i get something decent.. also i will be sound deadening(sp?) everywhere
