you don't need a scoop with the raceland one, it's fed direct by cold air ducting.
best options are either :-
bmc kit
raceland with green filter
forced green induction kit

it is quite loud - especially if you get a larger filter into the Raceland.
Green IMO is not worth spending the extra money on for the full kit as its basically the same as the Raceland

Standard airbox with better air feed and green filter is the best on a VTR. IMO anyway.

if you have the money and want to splash it, and you can find one, get a procomp carbon induction kit.

hi, ive got a raceland with a green upgrade in mine and if you keep it calm below sorta 3k ish - its silent... but when you put your foot to the floor it really kicks off... upto the limiter it screeeaaammmsss - sounds lovely, id just recommend you keep your engine topped up! i put my raceland on in about an hour with no instructions having never fitted anything to a saxo before (its my new toy) so i took my time!
As for gains, i thought at first it was slower because i personally think you lose some torqe BUT when you look down, the motor seems to rev free-er thus your at the limiter much before you usually would doing the same speed if not more as before the kit was fitted.. if you get me! basically the raceland kit is worth it but i wish id've bought it from kam - r cos id have saved on buying the kit n filter seperately!

i currently have a k and n fitted straight onto the throttle bodie (hope i used the right word lol) that sounds gorgeous wen u put ya foot dwn,but at higher speeds you lose to much power it takes to long to pick up, i assume this is because of heat soak,
also it is full of black sh!t lol
so its time for a change ! lol

I fitted the Raceland to my VTS and I'm not one really for gimmicky things like induction kits and all that (I was replacing a filthy open BMC effort) and I have to say, it sounds lovely and the car pulls really well.
