not a saxo but a pug 106 1.4 overfuelling
has a slight misfire but got told it could be timing but surely it wouldnt drive so fast if the cambelt timing was out but i dont know
anyones help is appreciated

what engine is in the 106 and what year is it?if both coils are the ones that fit onto the top of the spark plugs and have the same colour plug they will be the same

its a 93 1.4 i dont know what you mean about them fitting on top of the spark plugs?

the newer 106's had coils that sat on top of the spark plugs but your 106 is an early one and the coils were bolted on the side of the engine and have ht leads . i would spray the leads with wd40 to see if that makes a difference because they somtimes get damp and would cause the car to missfire and yes the earlier 106 coils are the same for a 1.1 and a 1.4

doesnt sound like the coil because it would do it right through the rev range is it mutipoint injection or does it have a carb?

if its mpi i would get its faults read on a diag also another thing to look at is on some pugs the washer jets leak water onto the injectors which would damage them and that makes the car missfire
