Default pipercross induction kit fitting

hi,

i bought a pipercross induction kit off my mate who has a phase 2 vtr however mine is a 2000 model and his is a 2002.. they are both phase 2 however after comparing our airboxes mine has an extra pipe.

my vtr is a 90 bhp model whereas his is a 98bhp model...

i looked on pipercross website and they sell two different induction kits for the phase 2 vtr one which is the same as mine and one which is the same as my mates...

could anybody tell me what this pipe is?

could i still use the induction kit or not?

i was possibly thinking buy a small breather filter for example and using this to vent the pipe?

any help appreciated and repped accordingly

i wont neg rep though

i think that extra pipe has some sort of sensor in which is needed (not sure what it is)

post in the engine section or you could try the problems and query section
