EDIT: have a drive of a car with throttle bodies & one with a turbo. The power delivery is so much different, i wanted a turbo but now i want bodies as the power is easier to use.

Pretty sure that would depend on the spec of each one.

Boost will give you more power - Generally (well its easier)

Bodies can give you the same ammount of power but you will need more engine work. But bodies dont fall off boost. EG, you dont see 1000bhp throttle bodied cars.

all wrong. supercharge is the way forward.

only joking, it all depends what you prefer and how big your pockets are.

it is great driving a high powered turbo car, i think of it a challenge to keep it on boost lol.

throttle bodies is a totally different expirience, its a lo raw'rer, te sound is amazing and generally they are very drivable.

supercharge is more like t'b's as the power is more linear and power rises with revs so is also very drivable not to mention huge gains over n/a.

not really. it all depends on engine spec, and the person who mapped it.
if using good strong parts and good mapping then turbo should be just as reliable as a normal vts. cost wise, if you spent 5k on tb's you would see about 200bhp and maybe a small powerband so good box is required, if you spent 5k on charging you should see at least 200bhp atw with very good torque and usable power.

Just out of interest what sort of cars is a 200bhp NA saxo compatable with in terms of speed? Gearbox will hinder topspeed i know but 0-100 times must be pretty damn fast

Turbos or supercharger are the best ratio for £ - BHP!!

you will never make a n/a engine the same power as a turbo wothout spending mega bucks!!

alos to get a really high powered n/a engine you would have bother getting it through MOT, because you would need really wild cams!!

turbos can see over 300 bhp but bodies can just go over the 200 bhp mark

save and buy a turbo car, i wanted to turbo my sax but opted for the other option in the end, its much beter imo buying an already fast turbo car and modding that to go faster instead of having to ront money to repair and maintain a car that is modded to a turbo car from normally aspirated.

on another note tho ive had a cooper s and now got a focus rs and prefer turbo to supercharged for sure
