Default Dead Paint???

This is how ive allways washed and waxed my cars but this saxo just doesent seem to wax.

I sprinkle the hose over her so she's wet, Then i use a sponge and bucket (2method) Then sprinkle the soap off. wash wheels and sprinkle. I then shamy her, Then wax her with turtle wax nano tech. Then back to black, windows, tyres.

this is how she comes out when i wax her...

You can see the way i have waxed and wiped off. Its so hard to explain. Is the paint dead??

Is it metallic paint? if so the lacquer could have worn down.if it`s not then try some MEG`S colour restorer on it.

Steve.

im sure that they are metalic.

to start with mate id use a wash mit instead of a sponge and use a drying towel instead of a chamios. all you are doing with the sponge and chamios is damaging the paint work more.

did you dry the car fully before waxing it?
did you apply polish before?
did you let the wax 'go off' before buffing off?

before applying any polish, wax or sealent the car panels will need to the 100% dry as the product will mix with the water and not cure correctly which could be why you are getting the marks you are

according to parkers black saxo mk2 is a solid colour (not metalic) - ref: http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/equipm...px?deriv=17753

Just so i know m8, does the marks travel over more than 1 panel or is it more in 1 area, has the car been sitting for a while, when was it last washed? was it like that b4 u applied the polish?

Ok non metalic it is then. The marks are on roof/bonnet/tailgate the worst, But all other panels do it but with some effort you can clear it. TAKES AGES!!!!!!!

black saxos are flat black paint!

is it leaving a greasing looking residue on the paint?

id suggest not leaving it on as long or buying some better microfibres
