Another Comparison Thread... VTS or IBIZA
And first of all can i state, i'm not looking for answers about how they look, as can figure that out for myself
Just wondering the pro's and con's for both Makes and Models...
The ibiza will probably be a gti of some sort, haven't looked fully into the engines and figures yet. So any info about them would be great

If you get a Turbo model (depending on age) then you're looking at massive tuning potential. VTS will have a more nimble chassis, but the Ibiza will be better built. GTi isn't particularly quick compared to a VTS, but the 1.8 Turbo Cupra is a firecracker plus its got a few toys. Depends on what your budget allows..

What mk you looking at?
mk2 GTi's can be 2.0 8v or 2.0 16v
the 1.8 20v turbo (Cupra) are like VTS' speed wise.
as said massive tuning potential.

I drive an Ibiza now mate. Its only the 1.2 but i love it. Best car i ever bought. Its so smooth to drive, easy to handle and goes thru the gears very well. Feels like a very strong car and is well built. Would recommend it 100%. Very nippy also and has a nice clutch.
Its a nice simple interior but could have been done better, although the cupra is soppose to be nice inside.

So most likely looking at 2.0 8v/16v GTi models then. Build quality is suspect on older Ibizas to look it over properly. For the price you could probably pick up a minter of a VTS tbh, and there are few motors in existance that for the money are as much fun as a VTS... Still miss mine lol!

if you have 3k,
buy a pre 2001 VTS and have insurance all paid outright for 3k.

The 172-man speaks sense.
For the budget I'd recommend a tidy VTS. Dry sunny day, more fun than you can shake a stick at.
