dont put the amp under your passenger seat mate.. will get kicked by back seat passengers.. and more importantly will over heat due to not enought air getting to it

hmm i dunno then... it is only a small one to drive components (alpine mrp-t222) so you reckon avoid passenger seat all together and stick with the boot..

haha same.. tbh i dont think ive ever had to put my drivers seat forward

i think under the drivers seat would be the best place for the amp then if thats the case.. it should be a lot safer than passenger seat as its not going to move

dont worry about it overheating. The boot has no air circulation usually as it is totally contained, when under the seat the air is circulating all the time due to you moving and the fans etc,
especially if you have the window open. Most amps should be OK in most places aslong as you done put in in a blanket or something

acctually thinking about it, it wud be safer to mount under passenger seat.... as if someone was in the back i cud force the passenger to move seat forwards so there is more legroom in the back left- so there feet are not by the amp. however if it was mounted on the driver seat, and as my chair is all the way back, the back right passengers feet wud be a problem

good point.. maybe best to put the amp under both seats (without screwing in) get in the back and see where the best position is before you make a final decision

Yep, will be fine under the seat.

And you could earth it to either, the subframe of the seat, but make sure you scratch off the paint so it is back to the bare metal.

Or you could earth it to the bottom seat belt mount. Thats probably the best bet. The one with the metal rod bent round in a funny shape by the sill.
